NATO’s 2018-2021 Strategic Plan identified diversity and inclusion as a key objective for the association.  In accordance with this aim, NATO formed the Diversity and Inclusion Committee in 2018.  The committee is focused on three key areas:  Expanding diversity within NATO’s volunteer leadership community; encouraging members to build a diverse workforce; and ensuring that product and service offerings are diverse. Diversity and Inclusion Scholarships

NATO’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee was delighted to announce the 2021 CinemaCon Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship, which aimed to build a pathway to participation in NATO for people who are currently underrepresented among the association’s volunteers. The scholarship was awarded to five employees of NATO member companies, covering registration, hotel, and certain travel expenses for attending CinemaCon from August 22-26, 2021 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Committee supported the creation of the 2019 Advisory Board Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship to build a pathway to participation in NATO, both at the committee level and in its leadership, for people who are currently underrepresented among the association’s volunteers, including women; younger executives; minorities; people with disabilities; and people who identify as lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/queer+.  The scholarship was awarded to a select number of NATO members to cover travel and lodging expenses for attending the NATO Advisory Board meeting in Beverly Hills on 23-24 September 2019.  Click here to read about the 2019 scholarship winners.
