“This summer has seen movie lovers continue to flock to movie theaters, and it has been one for the history books,” says Michael O’Leary, President & CEO of the National Association of Theatre Owners. “Surpassing $4 billion for the first time since 2019 is a testament to the power of the moviegoing experience, the overall strength of our industry, and the diversity of choices available for consumers.  This summer offered something for everyone, and movie fans responded. When there’s a wide variety of entertaining and compelling films to see on the big screen, people know the best place to see them is on the big screen at their local theaters.”
