NATO Releases Statement on Strong Summer Box Office Following June’s $1 Billion+ Domestic Haul

Official statement from NATO President & CEO Michael O’Leary:

“June 2023’s domestic box office passed $1 billion, which marks the first time the month of June has hit that milestone since 2019. This is just the latest indicator that exhibition is back – and it’s only getting stronger. Summer is just beginning, and excitement is high with a diverse slate of movies in July and August drawing movie lovers back to theatres around the world. Over the next several weeks, theaters offer something for everyone: family-friendly titles, highly-anticipated sequels, original takes on established IP, horror flicks, and prestige dramas. Moviegoers are recognizing that the big screen is the best way to enjoy a wide variety of films, and the entire industry is stronger for it. We expect this Summer’s momentum to continue through the rest of the year and beyond.”
