Will
Join 20 Mile Village
CCH Plans 10-Plex For Parker, Colo.
PARKER, Colo. Colorado Cinema Holdings (CCH) on April
15 announced that it is planning a November opening for a new
10-plex in the Denver suburb of Parker, Colo.
A component
of the new retail and entertainment development 20 Mile Village,
the multi will feature stadium-style seating, digital sound
and rockers with retractable armrests and cupholders.
CCH recently
upgraded three multis to stadium-style seating, and plans to
upgrade its 8-plex at the Cherry Creek mall with stadium-style
seating and a complete makeover of its lobby.
CCH currently
operates 81 screens at nine sites in the Front Range region
of Colorado.

Screens for University City
NA and Cinebridge Plan
Second Bridge Complex
PHILADELPHIA National Amuse-ments and Cinebridge Ventures
joined with the University of Pennsylvania April 22 to announce
plans for a new Bridge: Cinema De Lux 6-plex in Philadelphias
University City.
The new
facility will offer live pre-show entertainment, concierge service,
a media-immersion room with giant plasma screens, free parking
and valet service and a special food-service area that allows
patrons the option of relaxing inside or outside on the multis
terrace.
Auditoria
will be equipped with Dolby digital sound and will house stadium-style
seating comprised of rocking recliners with retractable cupholder
armrests.
Reserved
seating and advanced ticketing will be made available via phone
and the Internet.
NA currently
operates over 1,390 screens at sites in the United States, the
United Kingdom and Latin America.

South
Carolina Multi
EFC Plans 16
for Summerville
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. Eastern Federal Corp. (EFC) announced
on April 29 plans to build and operate a 16-plex in the Azalea
Square Shopping Center in Summerville, S.C.
Construction
on the 2,400-seat multi, slated to open by July 4, 2003, will
begin this fall.
Auditoria
will feature curved screens, acoustically tuned digital sound,
stadium-style seating with high-back chairs and retractable
cupholder armrests. Four auditoria will feature extra-wide screens.
A large
concession stand will offer patrons traditional theatre fare
as well as ice cream, yogurt, gourmet coffee and pretzels.
As of May
17 EFC operated 216 screens at 22 sites.
